Wet brush with Grace

Share post:

BARBADIANS WERE CAUGHT by surprise as the remnants of Tropical Storm Grace dumped heavy showers across the island yesterday.

Traffic in The City was brought to a virtual standstill, as cars crawled through flooded roads as lashing rains caused limited visibility while many pedestrians were seen cowering for shelter from the deluge.

The Barbados Meteorological Services said that there were no reports of serious flooding, although the group of men (seen here) on Kensington New Road, St Michael, were working feverishly together to push a car out of a water-covered ditch. (AD)
