High bills, no water in White Hill

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

This is the refrain from residents of White Hill, St Andrew concerning their water bills.

Public relations officer of the White Hill Community Council, Carlitha Andrews, said there were several days in July and August where some residents had no running water.

Some have therefore questioned the amounts the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) has billed them for those periods. But she said efforts to query the “alarming” balances were futile.

“When you are calling the water authority they are telling you that you have a leak, but tell me, if there is no water in the pipe, what is leaking?” she asked. (TSG)
