West meets East

THRONGS OF Barbadians were treated to a feast of Chinese culture when they attended a gala performance of the China Anhui Art Troupe on Tuesday night.

From babies to seniors packed the Gymnasium of the Garfield Sobers Sports Complex in Wildey, St Michael, to be part of the spectacle.

For just under two hours they were wowed by breathtaking acrobatics, sword-dancing, magic, martial arts, balancing acts and opera.

The men and women displayed astonishing coordination and strength. The choreography was defined by finesse, body control and fluidity.
