BDF gives okay for road sprint

MOTORSPORT will return to Paragon on November 1.

Chairman of the Barbados Association of Dragsters and Drifters (BADD) Adrian Linton told the association’s awards ceremony in the clubhouse of the Barbados Rifle Association (BRA) this week that permission had been granted by the Barbados Defence Force for the use of the quarter mile strip at Paragon for an acceleration test.

“It was 28 years ago that the road was last used for an acceleration test, and I am pleased to announce that, with the permission and assistance of the Barbados Defence Force, it will again be graced with an abundance of horsepower and speed on November 1,” he told the gathering to much applause.

He also said the committee had been working behind the scenes for some time on a number of things including a dedicated pit area close to drag start…
