CUTIE LYNCH, a former general worker at the National Conservation Commission (NCC),said yesterday she was “displeased”with the manner in which she was terminated on April 30, 2014.

The first witness to give evidence at the Employment Rights Tribunal where 54 workers are claiming that they were unfairly dismissed, Lynch, 35, said she was employed from February 16, 2004 until April 30, 2014 .

Recalling the day when the workers received dismissal letters, Lynch said she did not collect hers until six weeks after, when it was approaching the final date for her to submit for unemployment benefits.

“I was displeased with the manner it was handed to me so I didn’t take it at that time,” she testified under questioning by Pat Cheltenham, QC, the attorney representing some of the dismissed workers.
