Early morning tremor

SEISMIC ACTIVITY continued off the northeast coast of Barbados Saturday, with a small tremor recorded in the early hours of the morning.

At 2:05 a.m., the Seismic Research Centre of the University of the West Indies recorded a 3.9 magnitude tremor 171 kilometres off the coast and some 205km to the east of Castries, St Lucia.

It occurred at a depth of 10km.

Four quakes were recorded on Tuesday and three last Sunday. (SAT)
