Agard defends her stewardship

EMBATTLED Member of Parliament, Dr Maria Agard has rubbished any suggestions that she has been missing in action in the controversial Christ Church West constituency.

In fact, the Barbados Labour Party (BLP) first-timer believes her tenure so far in the Bees stronghold is more than holding its own, even in the face of a life-threatening illness which affected her last year.

“I am prepared to defend my stewardship in Christ Church West any time it is challenged,” the outspoken Agard told the SUNDAY SUN in an extensive interview yesterday.

“The one thing that I have been known for is my diligence to service. It has always been that way, and it will always be that way. There are very few people who can really challenge me on my stewardship to my constituents,” Agard added.
