AN OPPOSITION Member of Parliament has made a confession to his constituents.
St Andrew MP George Payne told Barbados Labour Party (BLP) followers on Thursday night at the branch’s annual general meeting that despite his success at the polls, he felt the people of St Andrew were not getting the best representation.
“I am somewhat disappointed with the results in the last general election. I don’t know what happened that we did not win. I feel that some way, notwithstanding the fact that we won in St Andrew, the people in St Andrew were let down. I also feel that I am not as good a representative as I should be, in that I cannot do the things in St Andrew that I was doing when the Barbados Labour Party was in government,” Payne lamented.
