WITH THE rainy season upon us and the threat of flooding, especially as a result of backed up drains, staff of the Drainage Division of the Ministry of the Environment were hard at work recently clearing the drains throughout the island.
This crew braved the morning heat yesterday and were busy at President Kennedy Drive, opposite Kensington Oval, removing debris from the drains to allow for a free flow of rainwater.
