TWO DAYS after her eviction, 85-year-old Dorothy King found some comfort in a new place.

At her new lodging at the Vauxhall Senior Citizens Village, Christ Church, there were no tears, but rather she joked while dispensing words of wisdom.

“I am settling in nicely. I am still enjoying life,” she said.

King, a former school teacher, lived at Bank Hall Main Road until Thursday when she was ejected from the premises through a court order.

When the SATURDAY SUN visited the village yesterday, the wheelchair-using King was surrounded by friends and well-wishers and she repeatedly thanked God for keeping her alive.

“I was in my death bed already. If it wasn’t God, you think I could laugh?” (TG)
