Cannabis plants found on St George plantations

MEMBERS OF THE Drug Squad assisted by members of the Police Tactical Response Unit continued illegal drug eradication operations today.

They discovered 1 164 cannabis plants growing in canefields on plantations in several areas in St George. 

Five hundred and twenty-three plants were seized at Stepney, 160 at Bulkeley, 69 at Constant, 198 at Jordans and 214 at Applewaites Plantation. No arrests were made. (PR/NB)
