AN OVERSEAS forensic pathologist is to be brought in to determine how an elderly woman pulled from a ravine on Saturday died.
A source yesterday said that an expert was being sought in order to carry out the specialised examination on the body, believed to be that of 75-year-old Marcelle Smith, last seen alive on October 12.
A man, linked to several past attacks on women, remained in custody as the prime suspect while detectives hunt for further evidence in the killing and await the post-mortem that was postponed yesterday.
Meanwhile, the $10 000 reward for information on Smith’s death following the recovery of a body believed to be hers from the area of Halton Plantation, bordering St George and St Philip, still stands as her family believes more than one person was involved.
