A GOVERNMENT MINISTER has high expectations for C&W Business and he is hoping it can provide Barbados with the telecommunications “backbone” it needs.
Speaking at the official launch of the six-month-old business at Champers Restaurant on Wednesday night, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office with responsibility for Telecommunications, Senator Darcy Boyce, said productivity was a main concern in a service economy like Barbados.
“Achieving the level of productivity we need in the economy will depend substantially on use of information and communication technologies (ICT).
“These technologies bring together data, processes and communications based on information technology to enable more to be done faster and with fewer resources,” Boyce said.
