Vigil for St Philip accident victims

THERE WILL BE a walk and vigil today for the four St Philip women who died tragically last Sunday morning.

Shakira Shepherd, 22, Shameka Shepherd, 23, and Waveney Johnson, 25, died at the scene at Two Mile Hill, St Michael,while Carey Brathwaite, 18, died at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The fifth passenger, Nakisha Shepherd, 23, continues to fight for her life in the QEH’s Intensive Care Unit.

The walk starts in Long Bay, St Philip, at the corner by the old Mike’s Trading building at 6:30 p.m. From there, the walk will go to the Salvation Army church where the young people of the community will lead a song service. 

Everyone is asked to walk with a candle. (PR)
