SENATOR Wilfred Abrahams was last night nominated unopposed to contest the Christ Church East seat for the Barbados Labour Party in the next general elections.
Abrahams, who was greeted with loud applause in the auditorium of St Christopher Primary School, said there had been a great response to the party’s recent mass canvassing in Christ Church constituencies.
“Everywhere we go, people greet us with their arms open wide because they are suffering,” he added.
The incumbent MP is Dr Denis Lowe. (LK)
