Funeral for three accident victims next Tuesday

THE FUNERAL SERVICE for three of the four young women who died in a vehicular accident two Sundays ago will take place at the gymnasium of the Garfield Sobers Sports Complex on November 10.

The thanksgiving service for Shameka and Shakira Shepherd and Wavenie Johnson will begin at 1 p.m. and is open to the public.

 

There will be tributes from noon to 12:55 p.m. then the service will commence at 1 p.m. Viewing of the bodies will be from 11:30 a.m. until 12:55 p.m.

Attendees are asked to be seated by 12:45 p.m.

Shakira, Shameka, Wavenie and Carey Brathwaite lost their lives along Two Mile Hill, St Michael when the car in which they were travelling crashed. The fifth passenger, Nakisha Shepherd, is a patient at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Senator Reverend David Durant is heading the planning team coordinating the funeral service. (PR/NB)
