Too many motorists are breaking the law when they refuse to buckle up and exercise proper road safety practices.
President of the Barbados Road Safety Association (BRSA) Sharmane Roland-Bowen is, therefore, encouraging motorists to buckle up and use the roads correctly. She explained that wearing the seat belt applied to everyone in the vehicle and not just the driver.
“This goes for unbelted passengers, [because] even if you are in the back seat of that vehicle and it gets into a collision, or if it has to stop suddenly, you can be thrown about inside of that vehicle,” she told the SUNDAY SUN.
