THE TREK was a long one but certainly worth it for Foundation.

The Church Hill, Christ Church school won two of the divisions and finished among the top four in the others when the Secondary Schools’ Cross Country Championships moved to the scenic environs of The Lodge School at Society in St John for Zone 3 yesterday.

Competing against 15 schools, Foundation won the senior boys and senior girls divisions, finished second in the junior girls and fourth in the junior boys.

The Marshall twins, Akeem and Romario, ensured the home fans had something to cheer about when they finished one-two in the senior boys’ race. Akeem won in 12 minutes, 06.04 seconds, while Romario was a close second in 12:08.06.
