St Cyprian’s Boys’ showed tremendous class and skill in dominating Zone 5 of the Berger Royale/Cave Shepherd National Primary Schools’ Road Tennis championship which continued on Friday at Blackman and Gollop Primary School.
With the zone ambassador Julian “Michael Jackson” White looking on, the St Cyprian’s lads showcased some mature backhand drags, top injections as well as a serving superiority as they handed out 14 sows.
Selah Primary, Milton Lynch Primary, Grazettes Primary, Good Shepherd Primary and Vauxhall Primary all felt the wrath of trio of Dominic Browne, Fozlo Brewster and Jaeden Bowen.
Only Vauxhall escaped a triple sow as St Cyprian’s won the other 14 games with the loss of under eight points.
All of the games could have ended in sows but number one player Browne went for his shots, thereby allowing Kishmar Ramsay of Vauxhall to escape with a 21-12 defeat.
St Cyprian’s closed the match in style, with Brewster dismissing Jaheim Clarke 21-8 and Bowen crushing Kemar St Hill 21-3. (KB)
