Double amputations of his legs have not slowed Henderson Hinds down one bit.
The 64-year-old father of two daughters and a son, all between the ages of 45 and 35, was diagnosed with diabetes ten years ago and recently underwent two major amputation surgeries of his legs.
First it was his left leg, cut below the knee in a surgery last year. In February this year, doctors had to amputate the right, again below the knee.
The SUNDAY SUN accompanied Hinds at one of the weekly sessions at the Physiotherapy Department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH), where he wasn’t shy to talk about his family history.
