MP: Infighting must stop

THE BARBADOS LABOUR PARTY (BLP) has received a public flogging from one of elected MPs.

While he did not specifically identify the Maria Agard saga, or call any names, St James Central Member of Parliament Kerrie Symmonds on Sunday accused the party of engaging in the “politics of self-destruction”.

He was addressing a St James South branch meeting at West Terrace Primary School, where he and colleague Dale Marshall were scheduled to speak on the proposed Cahill project.

Marshall was not in attendance, but general secretary Jerome Walcott appeared shortly after Symmonds started to speak.  (YB)
