ANSA looking to better Riding Festival

THE ANSA McAL Racing Festival Raceday is only into its third year but talk is already circulating about making it the second best horse racing event in Barbados.

At a Press conference yesterday to select the jockeys for the horses in the Winter Jockey Challenge, tomorrow at the Garrison Savannah, president of the Barbados Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association and the director of Mango Bay Hotel, Peter Odle, said with the help of their sponsor they were well on the road to making it a reality.

“Last year, I made a statement that I was hoping this raceday would become the second biggest raceday in Barbados. We have the Gold Cup in the first half of the year and I felt we needed another race in the second half of the year,” said Odle. (RG)
