IT’S KOLIJ versus Cawmere one more time.

School’s basketball is getting its long awaited rematch of last year’s final after reigning kings Harrison College and perennial title contenders Combermere earned contrasting victories in yesterday’s Massy United Insurance semi-finals.

Playing at the Barbados Community College, the unbeaten champs were surprisingly tested, having survived early foul trouble to star forward Joel Hunte and an upset-minded Foundation side before pulling out a hard fought 76-62 win.

Combermere’s route was a bit easier though, with the retooled preseason favourites leading from pillar to post in their rather lopsided 79-57 blowout of hosts Barbados Community College. (JM)
