UPDATE: Accident in Speightstown

THREE PEOPLE received various injuries as a result of an accident last night along Speightstown By-pass road, opposite the Mahaica Playing field in St Peter.

The accident, which occurred around 10:40 p.m., left 66-year-old Chesley Boyce of Cave Hill, St Lucy with injuries to his left hand, right shoulder and knee. He had to be freed from the vehicle he was driving, while his male passenger complained of pains to his stomach. Both of them sought private medical attention.

The other driver, Ezra Medford, 39, of Church Street, St Peter, received lacerations to his head and complained of chest pains. He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance.

The road was impassable to vehicular traffic as Police, Fire Officers other personnel responded to the accident. (RL)
