HERE WE GO AGAIN!
Primary school cricket’s most storied rivalry is set to take the pitch once more today as perennial powerhouses Wesley Hall and Bayley’s face off in yet another Guardian Group Herman Griffith final at Bank Hall.
It’s the age-old matchup of town versus country, with the King Street-based Wesley Hall making the short trip across to the historic Empire ground to play their rural St Philip adversaries for the third time in four years.
And the theme of revenge will be at the centre of this latest matchup after Bayley’s lost the 2012 final to Wesley Hall before also dropping a subsequent semi-final showdown to the same opponents the very next year.
“It was one player that caused us problems both times, Rivaldo Clarke,” recalled Bayley’s coach Winfield Forde. (JM)
