It was a classical music feast and music lovers in the Frank Collymore Hall Saturday night dined sumptuously.
An almost capacity audience stood and applauded doctors from around the globe who not only brought professional musical talent to the Frank Collymore Hall stage, but paid their own way to do so and insisted the proceeds from their performance be donated to a Barbados children’s charity.
The audience stood at attention, in awe, as the World Doctors Orchestra teamed up with the Barbados National Youth Symphony Orchestra and played a flawless rendition of the National Anthem that left hands itching to applaud.
Master of ceremonies Maurice Norville bowed to the silent pressure and gave the permission to applaud what he considered one of the finest performances of the anthem.
