FIVE WOMEN WERE the first clients at the Jorris Dunner Elderly Day Care Centre when it officially opened its doors today.
The eldest was 99-year-old Emmeline Stoute and while the others were in their 80s and 70’.
Officer in charge Esther Bend said several other applications had been received, but only five persons showed up today at the Golden Rock, The Pine, St Michael facility.
She anticipated that the number would grow over time, as the centre could accommodate between 30 to 40 persons. (LK)
