CAROLS BY CANDLELIGHT is back again and organisers are expecting bigger crowds after bringing new acts on board to spur on the Christmas spirit.
President of the Rotary Club of Barbados Jedder Robinson said the 20-year event will have acts by artists ranging from reigning Soca Monarch Peter Ram to popular artists Nikita, Marvay and Biggie Irie.
“We have [somewhat] changed the entertainment package to cater to the younger generation,” Robinson explained to Nation Online at First Citizens Investment Services, Warrens, St Michael today.
He added that numbers have been on the increase through the years as they have managed to improve the staging of the show.
The overall aim he said is for Rotary Barbados to reach out to the less fortunate.
For the first time, corporate sponsor First Citizens Bank has partnered with the Rotary Club to aid in producing the show and marketing and communications officer Kareem McClean has urged members of the Barbadian public to come out in their numbers as all proceeds will be going to charitable organisations.
