POLICE ARE ON THE SCENE of a fatality on Arsenal pasture, Jackson, St Michael.

Residents say the deceased is a 18-year-old Kadeem Wilfred, known as “Baby”.

Nation Online understands the deceased, who lived nearby in Perseverance Drive, was involved in an altercation with another man, resulting in him being struck and killed by a truck the other man was driving.

The incident occurred between 11:30 and 11:45 a.m..

Residents described Wilfred, who sometimes sold coconut water on the highway, as a “cool” fellow who did not trouble anyone.

A man, who said he was the deceased’s brother, said Wilfred had been looking forward to Christmas, but was now “dead like a dog”. Other family members are also on the scene.

The man who was driving the truck is presently in police custody. He reportedly drove to a police station after the incident. (CA)
