Williams Industries workers richer

SOME 135 EMPLOYEES of Williams Industries Inc. are today 236 750 shares richer.

They have received shares totalling that amount, and conservatively valued at $1 726 805, for their long-standing service to the company.

This brings the total number of shares issued to employees since the introduction of this business model in 1997 to 1 790 085, worth a minimum value of $12 996 017.

“The ownership of Williams Industries is very gradually moving from the original founders to the people who work in the company and make it happen,” chairman Ralph “Bizzy” Williams told the scores of people attending the annual staff awards ceremony at The Plantation, St Lawrence, Christ Church, on Wednesday.
