Injured Gabriel out of Australia tour

HOBART – The management of the West Indies team today announced that fast bowler Shannon Gabriel has been ruled out of the ongoing Test Series against Australia.

The 27-year-old suffered a stress reaction in the left ankle bone while bowling in the first innings of the first Test match at the Blundstone Arena in Hobart.

He will return to Trinidad to continue his rehabilitation.

A replacement player will be named in the coming days. (PR)
