Dirty shame in Bucks

THE DUMPING problem in Bucks, St Thomas, is more far expansive than meets the eye.

The more obvious spot was the turn near the Mangrove landfill and Sustainable Barbados Recycling Centre (SBRC) where there were several “no dumping” and “private property” signs, but further exploration revealed how deep the matter went.

A DAILY NATION team ventured into the bushy areas of Bucks, following tyre tracks which, more often than not, revealed the more disgusting side of the island.

One of the worst spots was a typically secluded area with around a dozen Pinnacle Feeds bags, hundreds of flies and a smell only the strong of stomach could handle.
