YOU CAN STRIKE Nicholas de Boulay Forde’s name off the list of prospective Christ Church West constituency candidates for the Barbados Labour Party (BLP).
Well, at least for now.
The young attorney had been rumoured to be interested in joining the fray in the BLP stronghold after the party expelled standing Member of Parliament Dr Maria Agard on November 22, but told the SUNDAY SUN he had no such aspirations.
The son of legendary BLP member Sir Henry de Boulay Forde said he had not been approached by the Opposition party to follow in his father’s footsteps, adding he was not considering starting a political career in 2018.
Sir Henry represented the Christ Church West constituency from 1971 to 1999, retiring after winning an unprecedented seven times at the polls.
