THE PEOPLE OF St Joseph have been told not to expect relief any time soon.

Acting general manager of the Barbados Water Authority Dr John Mwansa said with a reduction in water supply topping two million gallon per day “we cannot guarantee some immediate relief.”

“What we can provide,” he told a news conference, “is the temporary relief through an improvement in the supply of water through the tanker service and community water tanks as well as the expedition of the implementation of the water augmentation in Sweet Vale (St George) to bring those wells into supply as quick as possible, as well as one at Groves.” (HLE)
