Scottish-Bajan ties knot in ‘second home’

TO SCOTTISH-BARBADIAN Fraser Phillips, “roots” are everything.

So keen was he on establishing and maintaining his roots with Barbados that he recently journeyed “home” to “tie the knot” at the St Matthias Anglican Church where his great,-great- grandfather was christened in 1868.

Phillips, of Loch Lomond, Scotland, not only had a chance to wed the love of his life, Jennifer Marie Phillips, 44, in a church that has become special to him, but to do so in an island he considers paradise.

Taking such an important step at St Matthias, as opposed to some fancy hotel or on a sun-soaked beach helped to seal the connection.
