RAMON GITTENS ran away with the lion’s share of awards at the Barbados Olympic Association’s Dinner and Awards Ceremony at the Hilton on Tuesday night.

His four honours included the prestigious BOA President’s Award, Senior Athlete of the Year Award as well as prizes for winning a silver medal at the 2015 Pan Am Games and his performance at the London 2012 Olympics.

Gittens told NATIONSPORT he was pleased to achieve such an accomplishment but assured them there was still more to be done.

“It is always a pleasure to win an award but it’s just the beginning. I’m still on a quest to get an Olympic medal,” he said.
