DON’T DUMP that molasses there or anywhere else on the island for that matter.

This is the warning from Minister of Health John Boyce as reports of molasses being dumped at Harlington surfaced earlier this week.

Boyce told the SATURDAY SUN that abatement notices had been issued against those who had dumped the molasses in St Stephen’s Hill, Black Rock; Mount Wilton, St Thomas, and Harlington in St Philip.

“We have got reports and indeed abatement notices to all the areas we are aware of have been issued,” Boyce said yesterday.

“All means any other and all those we are aware of now,” he stressed.

The minister, however, revealed that the abatement notices gave the dumpers a period of time to comply with the order.
