A CALL IS BEING MADE for Minister of the Environment and Drainage Dr Denis Lowe to quit over his “inability” to deal with garbage control or illegal dumping in Barbados.

And if he isn’t willing to resign, then Prime Minister Freundel Stuart should fire him.

That’s the view of advocacy director of the Future Centre Trust, Kammie Holder. “The minister of environment, Denis Lowe, has been silent on this issue for far too long. It is time for him to speak up or step down,” Holder said.

“The Prime Minister has to be held accountable if the minister does not communicate with the country on issues such as these. Denis Lowe needs to be fired for non-performance in his portfolio.”
