Man charged in relation to attack on visitors

POLICE HAVE FORMALLY charged 53-year-old Trevor Agard in connection with Tuesday night’s attack on two British visitors.

Agard, who has no fixed place of abode, has been charged with robbery, the wounding of Jena Elhusainie and assault occasioning actual bodily harm to Dana Chowdry.

The mother and daughter were walking along the Richard Haynes boardwalk in Hastings, Christ Church about 8:25 p.m. when the incident occurred.

Agard was apprehended by members of the public and the stolen property was recovered.

Agard is expected to appear at the District “A” Magistrates’ Court today. (PR/NB)
