Witty Wilshire keeps Sir Elliott in stitches

PLENTY ENERGY, chatter and humour was how Barbados’ latest centenarian Llewellyn Wiltshire endeared herself to family and friends yesterday at her Goddard’s Road, St Stephen’s Hill, Black Rock residence.

Wiltshire enjoyed her big day in the presence  of Governor General Sir Elliott Belgrave and caused him to burst into fits of laughter with her constant jokes and witty remarks.

The widow of a former policeman told him the secret to her longevity was the consumption of lots of fish and abstinence from alcohol.

“I eat nuff fish. You have to eat nuff fish,” she said.
