Warm welcome back for Duguid

Welcome home! That was the general reaction of  constituents of Christ Church West canvassed for their views on Dr William Duguid’s imminent return to active politics.

A SUNDAY SUN team who took to the streets to gauge sentiment, were met by varying responses in the Barbados Labour Party (BLP) stronghold.

At Maggie-Ann’s shop in Hart’s Gap, a group of men was vocal on the topic. Fifty-seven year-old Junior Porter, a resident of St Matthias, said Duguid was the man for the job.

“He has always told the people what is and what isn’t, and has always seek the best interest of the residents around here. He has seen infrastructure implemented, and usually came out on Sundays to represent the people. He also saw that the roads that needing fixing in the area was fixed. I have no political affiliation but if someone is doing their good I would say. Too many people expect too much from politicians,” he offered.
