THE NUMBERS ARE UP for this year’s Girlfriend’s Expo; both the exhibitors and the patrons.
One of the organisers Rodney Powers said, “With over 120 exhibits the Girlfriend’s Expo continues to grow and grow. We can have 10 000 to 12 000 over a weekend; people have been coming out in droves.”
He was speaking yesterday from the Concorde Experience where the seventh annual expo was held under the theme Asia the Experience; Journey to the East.
A highlight of the two day fair was a charity brunch yesterday where proceeds went to the purchase of a wheelchair which was given to the Love Thy Neighbour charity.
Main organiser Kimtara Clarke said: “This year we had a buying crowd and I believe a lot more people turned up in their numbers because of the twist of an Asian theme that was really a different concept.” (LK/MR)
