ELECIA WEEKES WILL have her day tomorrow.

Weekes, the mother of the 15-year-old Springer Memorial Secondary School student at the centre of a disciplinary dispute, is to meet with Minister of Education, Ronald Jones at the Ministry of Education at 10 a.m.

This was after she unsuccessfully, along with child rights advocate Shelly Ross and the child, sought to meet with senior officials at the Ministry on Monday. On that occasion she was told to leave her name for an appointment with Chief Education Officer Karen Best.

This is the latest development in the unfolding incident involving Weekes’ daughter, who was reportedly escorted off the school’s premises on Monday by principal Pauline Benjamin.
