AN ANGLICAN CLERIC is pleading with parents not to give up on their teenagers.

Rector at St Barnabas Church, Reverend Mark Harewood, said he believed children needed guidance from various sections of society, including schools, the church and family.

“This is one area where I would say people can’t just say, let the Government handle it, because teenagers and children need help on a number of levels,” he told the DAILY NATION yesterday after a service at his church to mark Parkinson Memorial School’s 55th anniversary.

Harewood was commenting on the disappearance and subsequent reappearance of five students of Grantley Adams Memorial School. He said he was happy they would be returning home. (TSG)
