BARBADIANS are ready for a change on the political landscape.
But a third political party again? Maybe not, says political scientist Peter Wickham.
Wickham, director of Caribbean Development Research Services (CADRES), yesterday poured cold water on a call for a third political party, which according to the results of a recently announced opinion poll, almost a third of Barbadians felt would bring some balance to local politics.
His comments came after a poll conducted last month showed that more than a third of the country believed things were going in the wrong direction, with a whopping 62 per cent suggesting that Freundel Stuart’s Democratic Labour Party (DLP) administration should be ousted in the next general election.
