BARBADOS is serving up something new for Ecuador.
Seems Adam Hornby’s performance was just too good to ignore, as the 20-year-old England-born tennis player is set to make his Davis Cup debut in South America next week after replacing long-serving veteran Russell Moseley on the four-man squad.
The news broke yesterday when the two sides made their team nominations ahead of the March 4 start to the Group I Americas first-round tie at the Portoviejo Tennis Club in Ecuador.
It’s the squad’s first major shake-up since Barbados parted ways with the overseas-based Anthony Marshall for their Group II relegation tie against Puerto Rico at home in 2013.
