One preschool principal believes it is time Barbadians show more patriotism as a people.
At the Sunbeam Preschool’s African Awareness Day celebrations on Monday, principal of the Wildey, St Michael nursery, Sandy Field-Kellman, said with Barbados on the brink of celebrating 50 years of Independence locals were suddenly rushing to express nationalism.
“All of a sudden everyone wants to be wearing blue, yellow and black but we are not really a patriotic people,” she said.
