BARBADOS’ fastest schoolboy is enduring agony after being sidelined  by his own school for an alleged year-old infraction.

Jaquone Hoyte, who made his CARIFTA debut for Barbados at last year’s games in St Kitts, has been suspended from running for St Leonard’s Boys’ and is likely to miss next month’s Barbados Secondary Schools Athletic Championships (BSSAC) at the National Stadium.

Investigations by the WEEKEND NATION revealed the 18-year-old sprinter was being disciplined for an incident dating back to last year’s BSSAC when he allegedly used offensive language to a teacher at the Richmond Gap, St Michael school.

The finals of the school’s annual  inter-house sports take place at the stadium  today but Hoyte won’t be participating as he was also barred from competing during the preliminaries a fortnight ago at the same venue.
