Rousing send-off for HC trio

THEY GAVE A combined 67 years of service to Harrison College, and yesterday students and staff took time out to say ‘thank you” to three of their own during morning assembly.

It was not goodbye, but a fond farewell to Dr Marva Lashley, Stephen Scott and Robin Douglas, who were promoted to the post of deputy principal at Queen’s College, Parkinson and Princess Margaret schools, respectively.

Lashley, the former head of the English Department, was unable to attend but she was praised for her contribution.

The tributes were a bit more special for Douglas and Scott, who are both past students of the school. With the 12 years he spent as English and Communications teacher, Scott spent a total 19 years at the Crumpton Street, St Michael institution.
