Ramon Gittens advances at World Indoors

BARBADIAN RAMON GITTENS has advanced to the second round of the 60 metres at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Portland, Oregon.

Gittens clocked 6.61 seconds in the event to place second behind St Kitts’ evergreen sprinter Kim Collins whose time was 6.56.

Also advancing from that heat was Antigua’s Chavaughn Walsh with 6.66.

The semi-finals are later this evening. (SAT)
